Leslie Allen, RD/LD, CLT

Registered Dietitian

Certified LEAP Therapist

Certified Personal Trainer

Hi there! My name is Leslie and I am a Registered Dietitian, Certified LEAP Therapist, Certified Personal Trainer, and owner of Grace, Goals, and Guts which is based out of Manhattan, KS. I’ve experienced  food as medicine through my own gut healing journey and love to help others experience healing through food. Grace, Goals, and Guts grew out of my passion to help others understand the power of nutrition and exercise over health and healing.  You can read more about my approach to nutrition here.

The name, Grace, Goals, & Guts, reflects another part of my approach to life and health. As much I as strive to live a healthy lifestyle regarding nutrition and exercise, I do not want to be a slave to it. So with that said, I simply try to do my best by staying active and eating healthy most of the time. In our journey for change I have found that we must:

1. Give ourselves grace. Grace to recognize and accept our starting point (however far behind we may feel). Grace to try again when we fail.  Taking a step or two backward at some point is inevitable. Instead of beating ourselves up over it, we extend grace and plan better for next time.

2. Set realistic and reachable goals. One of the greatest motivators is to see progress being made. So whatever your ultimate goal may be, it is important to set and celebrate the smaller goals along the way. Give yourself some credit! Taking those small steps creates the big change!

3. Prepare for the challenge. Making changes take guts.  But the time, hard work, and effort you put in is SO worth it.

A little more about me:

I love life and being able to share it with friends and family. In my spare time, I enjoy staying active, gardening with my husband, refinishing furniture and other DIY projects, learning about herbs, playing piano, and spending time outside!

I am most blessed and thankful for my Creator and Lord who gives me grace when I fail and the strength to get up and try again!
